Speaking rate
Knowing your words per minute (WPM) helps us estimate how long your speech will take. Read the passage below aloud at your normal pace, as if you are speaking it, then stop the timer. You should allow time for natural pauses and laughter. We'll calculate your rate and you can save it for estimates across the site. We use a default of 150 WPM if you don't set one.
